This was a short month at school as we had half-term, but even so we packed a lot in! First, we took our Year 5 & 6 class, Creators, to Dorchester Museum to see the wonderful Egyptian Exhibition of Tutankhamun burial artefacts. This was to support their Egypt Topic and they loved it, especially the gory details of mummification!

On 20^th October we held a fundraising day for St Margaret’s Hospice and we all wore yellow (the hospice’s colour) and donated to the cause. A six foot Busy Bee visited with his helper to tell us what happens  there, which was very interesting for the children. And I’m happy to report they raised from pocket money and their families £139 for St Margaret’s. Well done!

We also welcomed 14 Martock Guides to our Forest School. Our FS leader, Anna, stayed to help them with their Eco and Outdoor badges, and later they lit fires and toasted marshmallows, washed down with hot chocolate. It’s great to share our wonderful facilities and thanks to Anna for her help.
