Head Teacher’s Welcome
I am delighted that you have chosen to find out more about us and hope you find our website informative.
I am incredibly proud to be the Head Teacher of St Margaret’s CEVA Primary School. Since arriving here in September 2019 I have had the pleasure of working with a dedicated team that work tirelessly to ensure that our children receive the best education that will support and provide a solid foundation for their choices later in life. We focus on our School Core Values of, Love, honesty, courage, respect, friendship, trust.
One of the most often heard saying about St Margaret’s is that it is a ‘family school’ and I must say that I totally agree. We are a small village primary school set in the beautiful village of Tintinhull, just outside Yeovil. We have 4 classes and a purpose built pre-school/nursery on site. Children join us from age 2 and stay until the end of Year 6. Having the pre-school on site ensures that a smooth transition into school is supported. The children in preschool know the teachers and staff before they start at the school, as we work together with them and they are included in lots of school activities. Head over to their webpage to see what they get up too! (Discoverers).
We have a close connection with the local community and we regularly share school news in the local village magazine. We work with other agencies to make a difference in the community and we take pride in being able to support local events. It is important to us that our children recognise that they have responsibility to care and support others. We do this in many ways including: connections with our local care home, ST Margaret’s Church, working with the local rotary group and joining in with village events to name just a few!
We strive to ensure that our children experience an interesting, thought provoking, safe learning environment where they are able to develop and grow into confident learners. Parents, Governors, volunteers and the PFA all play a part of this and we would love you to come and join us.
