- As part of our Literacy Lessons we took the Creator Class on a wonderful day tour of the Warner Brothers Harry Potter Studio near Watford. We started out at 6.30am and got back at 8.30pm in the evening, so it was quite a day! Apart from riding broom sticks and being photographed in The Flying Car, we visited Harry’s house and chatted with actors in costume. Then to work! We had a workshop with some script writers and the pupils handled real props from the films. Thus inspired, they wrote their own scripts with their own characters and returned to the real world very happy, very tired and very hungry!
- We also held a school disco which earned a fantastic £345 from tickets and hot dogs. All proceeds go to school activities like the above visits.
- Lastly, we did a day dedicated to Children In Need where the School Council decided that the theme would be pyjamas and spots - or a combination of both. We did lots of Pudsey activities through the day like the Investigators class organising a maths competition. In all we raised £101.50. Well done everyone!
