We celebrated World Book Day with the children coming to school dressed up as their favourite literary characters. It was a wonderful display! We spent the day with pupils and teachers reading to each other. As for characters we had a whole variety including Harry Potter, Little Bo Peep and The Naughtiest Girl in School from Enid Blyton. We even had Captain Underpants!
Our Year 6 pupils spent two and a half days doing the Bikeability Course and I’m delighted to say that all of them passed with flying colours and are now safe to ride on main roads. Plus they received advice on bike maintenance, including tyres, brakes and helmets.
We also enjoyed Red Nose Day where the theme was Crazy Hair! For a donation children could sport the most outlandish hair styles and we raised £60.00. Leading up to this we discussed in assembly why Red Nose Day is so important and where the money goes, which everyone raises.
