We hope everyone had a lovely Easter Holiday despite some dubious weather! Back at school we celebrated Earth Day and after lessons on the 22^nd we held an event where all pupils made paper plant pots and created bug homes. Some also brought dandelion jam and honey which they had made at home. Delicious! This they sold along with wild-flower seed bombs with information posters. These were sold to villagers passing the school and parents along with fruit and vegetables. We also set up our Seed Swap Stall and raised £49. This will be used for our Forest School.

Towards the end of the month our Investigators Class went on a trip to Noah’s Ark Zoo Farm near Bristol. We had a marvellous time and saw elephants, ostriches, macaws, prairie dogs, gibbons and even a crocodile. They were all in enclosed areas, not cages, and we saw them really close up from viewing points. For some of the children it was the first time they had seen these animals in real life and they were thrilled. The weather held off till our final group photo where we all got drenched!
