We started the month with a really great School Disco which raised £180 for school funds. Everyone had a fantastic time!

The Cross Country run at Bucklers Mead Academy was a notable occasion for St Margaret’s, as Daisy in Year 2 came 14th out of 96 runners from across the Yeovil area. She was supported by seven other children who all did fantastically and gave it their all.

A strong achievement for Daisy, and well done to all who took part. She is now aiming for a top ten finish next time.

On the 10th and 11th February we held Safer Internet Days for all the classes . These lessons covered all aspects of the Internet - for example, Stranger Danger with the little ones, warning against any communication with strangers online. For the older pupils we looked at the use and possible dangers of AI and played the game What Face is Real? This gave them quite a shock as initially it was hard to distinguish between a real face and one generated by AI.
