We had World Book Day on the 5th and all the staff dressed as characters out of The Day the Crayons Quit book. We acted out the story for the children which they loved. Especially the humour of beige crayon's sadness at being 'naked' (without its paper) in the box!
Some of our children were involved in A Young Carer's film project, working with the Bristol film company Boomerang Productions. They tell their story about how being a young carer impacts their lives, caring for siblings or parents. This might involve getting ill parents dressed or putting toothpaste on their brush for them; putting little ones to bed or bathing them and helping around the house. They are very courageous little people and deserve to be recognised and celebrated. I am very proud of them.
