We had 12 pupils start in our Reception Class and welcome to them all to the St Margaret's family. Each newcomer has a Year 6 Buddy who is there to mentor and support.
We did our Harvest Festival Celebration in the church with our Creator Class (Year 6) leading the service and the Reception Class singing 'I'm a Dingle Dangle Scarecrow'. Our new vicar Rev. Bruce gave a sermon speaking to the children about harvesting fruit and enjoying new learning and friends. The pupils also collected tins, rice and cereals for the Lord's Larder, and provided autumnal paintings for the church.
Finally, we had three of our six sessions of cricket coaching with the former county cricket player, Sean Fitzgerald, who took each class for an hour, teaching bowling, batting and catching. Everyone has been having a fantastic time, learning new skills and being inspired. Thanks so much Sean!
