Creator Class visited New Barn and dressed up as Anglo Saxons. They heard all about the life of our ancestors and went treasure hunting for coins and precious metal. They also made plates out of willow which they brought home. It really opened our eyes to our history and roots.

We had our Wear It Yellow Day for St Margaret's Hospice, which has special meaning for us as we are affiliated to St Margaret's Church in the village. The children made donations to wear their yellow outfits and raised nearly £100. Well done everyone and it's good to look after each other.

We took part in a cross-country meeting at Yeovil Rugby Club and all our runners were awarded certificates. It was so good to see the Year 6 pupils dashing along the track cheering on our Year 2 runners. Everyone tried their best and deserved their certificates.

Lastly, we celebrated World Mental Health Day and every class discussed topics such as What is mental health? What makes you happy? How can you make yourself happy? How can we support our mental health?
