Sports Premium

The PE and Sport Premium is intended to help schools create opportunities for all children and young people to lead healthy, active lives. This funding should be used to make participation in PE and school sport more accessible, ensuring that every child—regardless of background or ability can achieve and thrive through increased physical activity. It also aims to enhance pupils’ health, wellbeing, personal development, and academic success, while laying the groundwork for lifelong enjoyment and engagement in regular physical activity.

The School Games Mark is a prestigious, government-led award that recognises schools for their dedication to promoting competitive sport and physical activity. It celebrates a school’s commitment to fostering sporting excellence both within the school and across the wider community.

This award also provides a valuable framework for schools to evaluate their PE provision and develop a strategic action plan for continued improvement. Earning the Gold Mark reflects our ongoing passion for sport, teamwork, and creating opportunities for all students to thrive.
